For a couple of days, visiting Philipsburg of St. Maarten, I hired a room at Holland House Beach Hotel, a tall block downtown on the beach. For me it was convenient for the shopping, easy access to the beach and public transport. The room I've got cost around 150 $, was in good order, painted in white, with kitchenette and good-sized bathroom, in the lobby it was access to internet.
